Cargo Cycling - Warranty Policy

Cargo Cycling / Nijland Cycling B.V. is committed to delivering high-quality products and outstanding customer support. We stand behind our cargo bikes and offer this limited warranty to provide assurance against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship.

1. Warranty Coverage

This warranty applies exclusively to defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. The warranty is valid from the date of purchase and subject to the terms and conditions outlined below.


2. Warranty Period

The warranty durations are as follows:

  • Frame: 5 years

  • Non-electric components: 2 years

  • Electric components: 1 year

  • Wear-and-tear parts: 2 months (see Section 6 for details)

All durations are calculated from the original date of purchase.


3. Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for warranty coverage:

  • The Product must have been purchased from an authorized Chariot dealer or directly from Cargo Cycling.

  • The Product must be used as intended and maintained according to manufacturer instructions.

  • The Product must not have been modified or tampered with.

  • Only Cargo Cycling-approved parts may be used for maintenance and repairs.

  • The Product must not have sustained damage from accidents, collisions, misuse, or neglect.


4. How to File a Claim

If your claim is approved, Cargo Cycling or its authorized service partner may take one of the following actions:

  • Repair the defective part using new or refurbished components.

  • Replace the Product (or part) with an equivalent new or refurbished item.

  • Refund the purchase price, in rare cases where repair or replacement is not feasible.

The chosen solution is at Cargo Cycling’s sole discretion.


5. Limitations and Exclusions

Wear-and-Tear Parts Warranty

Certain parts are subject to normal wear and tear, such as tires, brake pads, chains, and cables. These are covered by a limited 2-month warranty, covering:

  • Scope: Only manufacturing defects, not regular usage.

  • Exclusions: Misuse, accidents, neglect, or alterations are not covered.

  • Claims: Must follow the same process outlined in Section 4.


Exclusions (General Warranty)

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear beyond the 2-month wear-parts warranty.

  • Cosmetic damage not affecting function.

  • Damage from misuse, neglect, accidents, or improper maintenance.

  • Modifications or unauthorized repairs.

  • Use of non-approved parts or components.

  • Transfer of ownership — the warranty is valid only for the original owner.


7. Limitation of Liability
Cargo Cycling’s liability is strictly limited to the repair, replacement, or refund of the Product as described above. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of use or business interruptions.

8. Governing Law
This Warranty Policy shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the Netherlands, excluding its conflict of law provisions.

9. Changes to This Policy
Cargo Cycling reserves the right to update or modify this Warranty Policy at any time. Updates become effective upon publication on the website or upon written notification
